Super austenitic stainless steel is defined as Cr-Ni stainless steel with a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN = [Cr]+3.3[Mo] + 16[N])≥40%.Super austenitic stainless steel is mainly developed to solve the defciency of pitting corrosion resistance, crack corrosion resistance and poor thermal stability of the original high molybdenum (>4%)Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel under the harsh corrosion conditions containing CI-.
